Patricia Apollonia Kotero has been model and actress in the United States over a long period of time. She was the lead female performer for Apollonia 6 and co-starred in Prince's film Purple Rain from 1984. Apollonia is a singer/actress who was born to Prince in 1984 was one of the many female singers of the 1980s that benefited from Prince. Patricia Kotero is a Californian actress born in the city of Santa Monica, California in 1959. Her first career was working as a television model. In 1984, the actress was a part of the main woman in the movie Prince's Purple Rain. (During this time period, she also changed her name.) She then replaced Vanity of the female group Vanity 6 who performed in the film alongside Apollonia 6 under their name. Sex Shooter was only a small achievement for the group however, she had an even bigger effect as the duet partner of Prince in Take Me with You on the soundtrack. Kotero broke off from Prince following a disagreement during the course of the course of her professional career. Apollonia 6 broke up after their fallout. She went on to appear in several minor films during the period (reportedly refusing to take part on The Purple Rain follow-up Under the Cherry Moon) before landing an appearance on the evening-time television drama Falcon Crest during 1985-1986. Apollonia made her debut album in 1988, but the comparatively insignificant collection of dance and R&B songs did not impress the music-buying public and the album soon vanished off the shelves. Through the years, she remained an active actress, playing minor roles in films and small TV shows. Apollonia created a bilingual Spanish and English album called Stay With Me. In later years, after getting back to university and earning an award for filmmaking, she founded her own production company. Apollonia Kotero is a household name for her many roles.
