As a young, popular singer-songwriter, she's one of the top selling performers. Born in Barbados her family listened to reggae and started singing when she was quite young. Unhappy with her chaotic family life and the constant arguments between her parents she immersed herself in music and before long realized that she wanted to be a professional musician. In high school when she started forming group and performed for Evan Rodgers. Evan Rodgers was impressed by her talent. The girl was then moved from the city of her birth to New York to start a professional singing career full-time. Rihanna quickly became a star after her debut release.
